NYC Clergy is a faith-driven organization dedicated to organizing vigils, worship gatherings, prayer meetings, and community events throughout New York City. Our mission is not rooted in politics, recognition, or public attention, but in the pursuit of peace, healing, and the uncompromised Word of God. We exist to bring the presence of God into communities, to lift up Jesus Christ, and to stand in the gap for families, neighborhoods, and city leaders during times of loss, crisis, and need.
At every vigil and gathering NYC Clergy organizes, there is intentional focus on worship, prayer, and the preaching of the Holy Bible. We believe that true transformation comes through spiritual renewal, unity in Christ, and heartfelt intercession. Our events consistently include clergy from various churches and ministries who come together in agreement to pray for peace, healing, and restoration over our city.
NYC Clergy is more than an organization it is a ministry of service. As Minister Alejandro Zayas often declares, this is a ministry that goes directly into communities to bring a word of hope, love, and truth. It is not built for media attention, political gain, or personal recognition. Instead, it is built on humility, obedience to God, and a commitment to serve people where they are most vulnerable.
Over the years, NYC Clergy has organized large-scale vigils and prayer services that have drawn community members, clergy, and elected officials alike. One of the most notable gatherings, the Jet Set Vigil in April 2025, brought together families, faith leaders, and numerous public servants in a moment of collective mourning and prayer. In that gathering, Minister Zayas made clear that while many elected were invited and present, the purpose remained strictly spiritual to bring comfort to grieving families and to seek God’s peace over the city. The focus was, and continues to be, worship and healing above all else.
NYC Clergy has also stood alongside families of NYPD officers, federal agents, and first responders, organizing vigils and prayer services to honor lives lost and to support those who serve and protect. The ministry has extended its reach into public housing communities, neighborhoods affected by violence, and homes of grieving families bringing prayer, scripture, and compassion without condition.
In moments of tragedy, NYC Clergy does not remain distant. The ministry responds personally calling families, showing up in prayer, and ensuring that no one walks through pain alone. This hands-on presence reflects its core belief: the church must be active, present, and compassionate in times of crisis.
NYC Clergy has remained consistent for years in its mission to hold prayer vigils for NYPD officers, city workers, and community members alike. Every gathering is rooted in spiritual purpose, not political agenda. Respect is maintained for all who attend, including elected officials, while always keeping the focus on faith, unity, and the Word of God.
Above all, NYC Clergy carries a simple but powerful mission: to bring peace, love, and the presence of God back into New York City. It is not about cameras, titles, or recognition. It is about service, humility, and glorifying God in every action. Everything done is for His glory alone, lifting up the name of Jesus Christ and bringing hope to a city in need of healing.
All Glory is to our Lord and Savior

Minister Alejandro Zayas, a respected and devoted leader, has consistently reminded us throughout vigils and services that this movement is not about politics, but about coming together in unity. We must not allow our political views to divide us or distract us from the truth that God is Lord and Jesus is King. Everything that NYC Clergy does is rooted in our mission to uplift the name of Jesus and bring His light into our communities
Minister Alejandro Zayas and the New York State Attorney General Letitia James held a vigil for a 7-month-old baby who was shot.
We have organized a vigil in honor of Detective Didarul Islam of the 47th Precinct. This gathering was an opportunity for the community to come together in remembrance, to show support for his family, and to recognize his service and dedication.
A vigil organized by NYC clergy was held for victims of the Jet Set nightclub collapse in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, which occurred during a Rubby Pérez concert and resulted in over 230 deaths and hundreds of injuries
